Update Bulletin 40

Well, when the people of Kanthi set their minds to working they sure work. Please find below the Dispensary (Medical Centre) progress with building works, it is amazing, to think that they have made the bricks and laid them to this stage.

I am also including the Nursery school photos which Daniel sent, the tables and chairs look sturdy for the little ones. As you will read in Daniel’s email they have employed a new teacher and Daniel included a photo of her.

To Hellen

Hi! Kindly receive much greetings from me.I wanted to inform you that we agreed with constructor to pay him ksh 30,000/= for foundation level and ksh 60,000/= for the whole wall and we have paid some amount to constructor. We didn’t agree the amount of roofing , plastering floor and shatters.

Our school nursery school teacher whom we had got married got married far away , where by she was not able to continue teaching and that we employed another woman from within .attached is her photo.

I wanted to create an awareness to you for what we have done.

Yours N. Ntheeu.

All seems to be going along very smoothly and I forwarded a second payment today for materials so as not to hold up any progress as they are aware that hopefully ‘the rains’ come in October/November. The amount I forwarded was Ksh 111,170.82 (A$1,460.00).
