Well what progress with the Dispensary (Medical Centre). Not only did the people of Kanthi make the bricks but are now up to laying them, women and all! They are hurrying to get as much work done as possible before the rains come, late October early November. This is their basic rainfall for the year (in the past 300 ml) and so they need to collect/preserve what water they can source. I understand the pump that feeds the water into Mutomo from the source has broken down and so Kanthi village is without piped water until it is fixed. This could take sometime by all accounts. Thank goodness the water to Kanthi from Mutomo is gravity fed otherwise we would be constantly in trouble. Once the pump is fixed and certainly when the rains come the water should flow again to Kanthi. Note all the gerry cans lined up around the building site, I would hope this would be tank water!
Note the progress from the foundations in Update Bulletin No. 38 and the women working.

How joyous the couple, who donated money specifically for the Nursery school children’s breakfasts and lunches, must feel to see the photos below. As Pastor Daniel would say ‘God bless you both’.
Elizabeth Ndunda is due back in Australia in three weeks time and I am sure she will have more photos and stories about the progress in the village. I shall contact Hon. Rachael Nyamai MP to see how the Primary school which the Kenyan Government are funding is progressing. I shall include these photos of the children also to ‘jog her along’ to have the first classroom ready for the children’s transfer in the New Year.
