Update Bulletin 33

You may recall reading in Update Bulletin No. 24 on 4th May, 2014 a letter from Daniel saying that he was planting potatoes. A correction I made in Update Bulletin No. 28 of 28th May, Daniel meant planting their second crop of tomatoes…he pressed the wrong key! Well in speaking with him on the telephone yesterday he informed me that they were in fact harvesting their tomatoes and selling them at the market for Kshs 50 per kilo. What green fingers they have! Daniel said he will send photos of the crop shortly.

He also excitedly told me that the women were busy making the bricks for the new classroom for the Primary School and were also going to continue on making the brick for the new Dispensary. Hence the reminder in this bulletin for all those who have not booked for the Afternoon Tea/Movie Fundraising afternoon on Sunday, 17th August, 2014 at the Palace Cinema, Balwyn to see Helen Mirrem in One Hundred Foot Journey, please consider coming to what will be a lovely afternoon and support the building of the Dispensary (Medical Clinic) in Kanthi.

Looking forward to seeing you at the movies.

Cheers,
